CAN has been commissioned to design a bespoke single-person dwelling and artist’s studio on an infill site in the Brookmill Road Conservation Area in Deptford, South East London. Currently in planning, the residential scheme navigates a tight urban footprint to deliver a low-impact micro-home tailored to creative practice. The design responds sensitively to the local heritage context of the historic London conservation area while maximizing spatial efficiency and daylight on a compact site.
