An exhibition design proposal for a major fashion exhibition at the 2,300-square-metre Barbican Art Gallery in London, CAN’s concept brings the raw, uncontrollable nature of dirt, trash, and urban grime into the museum environment.

Using principles of assemblage and material accumulation, the spatial design guides visitors through and around the garments while creating an atmosphere of perpetual flux and decay. Navigating the gallery’s iconic Brutalist framework, the proposal prioritizes sustainable fabrication and circular design, utilizing stock industrial materials and reusable structural elements to build distinct microenvironments.
